Dr. Michael Poon has made New York Magazine’s “Top Doctors” list for four years running. Dr. Poon is the president of the Societyof Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, and has earned the Young Investigators Award from both the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association, and the Clinician Scientist Award from the American Heart Association. Dr. Poon served as both Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program and Medical Director of Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Computed Tomography Imaging at Mount Sinai Hospital before joining MedScan in December of 2007, and is currently the Associate Professor of Medicine in Cardiology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Poon completed his BS in electrical engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of New York before earning his M.D. from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, moving on to complete his internal medicine residency and fellowship in cardiology at Mount
Sinai Hospital.
