Dr. Karolyn Kerr,
Medical Director

Dr. Karolyn Kerr, the former Director of PET/CT imaging at New York’s prestigious Beth Israel Medical Center, has served as MedScan’s Medical Director since 2004. After receiving her BA and BS at the University of Virginia, Dr. Kerr earned her M.D. at the Boston University School of Medicine, then completed an internal medicine internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York and a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in Nuclear Medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. Dr. Kerr is also Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiology at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine, and is a member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine, the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the New York Roentgen Society. Dr. Kerr is double board certified in diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine, has written and co-published numerous articles focusing on all areas of PET/CT in several professional journals, and has lectured all across the Northeast region. |

Dr. Elizabeth Greenstein

Dr. Elizabeth Greenstein has served as a diagnostic radiologist at New Jersey Veterans Affairs Health Care System and Holy Name Hospital in New Jersey before joining MedScan in December of 2007. After receiving her BA at the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Greenstein earned her M.D. at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, then completed her internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center and a neurology residency at Cornell University Medical Center. Dr. Greenstein also completed both a diagnostic radiology residency and a fellowship at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, and is a member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Greenstein is board certified in radiology and nuclear medicine, and her published writings have focused on the areas of neurology and PET/CT. |

Dr. Michael Poon

Dr. Michael Poon has made New York Magazine’s “Top Doctors” list for four years running. Dr. Poon is the president of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, and has earned the Young Investigators Award from both the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association, and the Clinician Scientist Award from the American Heart Association. Dr. Poon served as both Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program and Medical Director of Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Computed Tomography Imaging at Mount Sinai Hospital before joining MedScan in December of 2007, and is currently the Associate Professor of Medicine in Cardiology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Poon completed his BS in electrical engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of New York before earning his M.D. from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, moving on to complete his internal medicine residency and fellowship in cardiology at Mount Sinai Hospital. |

Dr. Noah Weg

Dr. Noah Weg is a board certified radiologist, having completed his BA at Yeshiva College, his M.D. at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, and his radiology residency at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine. Since April of 2005, Dr. Weg has been contributing his extensive private-practice experience in nuclear medicine and computerized tomography practice to MedScan, giving each of our patients— and referring physicians—a thorough appreciation of their individual needs and expectations. Dr. Weg is a member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine, the Radiological Society of North America, and the American College of Radiology, and has authored several scientific articles in collaboration with researchers at New York University and Johns Hopkins University. |
